EcoPod Usage and Cleaning Instructions

Looking after and cleaning your EcoPod breastmilk storage containers is easy and will ensure the long life of these reusable pods. Here is a list of EcoPod usage and cleaning instructions to help you care for your containers.

Instructions for using the EcoPod storage containers

Express your breastmilk using your breast pump, or you can hand express directly into the Eco Pod. Pour your expressed milk into the storage pod. Secure with lid.

Your Eco Pod can be stored standing up or lying down. The leakproof lid has been designed with a three ridge security insert to ensure your breast milk is secure.

Write the date and the volume of milk on the lid to keep track of your milk. Internal measuring notches will help you to measure the amount of milk you have filled into the pod. Do not fill the container above the 150ml line as the breast milk will expand once frozen.

Ensure you use a whiteboard marker on the lids so that it can be cleaned off with warm soapy water ready for reusing over and over.

Store your Eco Pod Breastmilk Storage container in the fridge for up to 3 days at the back of the fridge or place it directly in the freezer.

Defrosting your breastmilk in the Eco Pod

You can defrost your stored breast milk in one of three ways:

• Run the EcoPod under cold water for a minute and push out the frozen milk block into your baby’s bottle and heat up directly in bottle.
• Place the EcoPod directly in a cup of warm water
• Pop it in the fridge and let it thaw out

Cleaning your EcoPod storage containers

Sterlilse your EcoPod before its first use. This can be done by boiling in water for 2-3 minutes or using a steam sterilising system.

Clean the Eco Pod after each use. You can apply the same principles you use for all your breast pump supplies. Wash in warm soapy water with a mild detergent. The Eco Pods can also be placed on the top rack in the dishwasher.

Caution

• This product is not a toy. Do not use this product for anything other than its intended use.
• Do not use any bleach-based agents or sterilising tablets to clean this product.
• Check product condition regularly and replace if it shows any signs of damage.
